Horace

Like most of the people I have told you about in my study of English 2, Horace had some views of specific things along with similar views of past philosophers.  He believed in that the followers of Epicureanism and Stoicism were on the right track on philosophy.

The History of Ethics in the Bible

The Bible is filled with law.  More specifically, God’s Law for mankind.  We sin…a bunch of times.  Therefore, God tells us what we should do and not do.  These are ethics.

Sanctions and Ethics in the Proverbs

Usually in the Proverbs we see what is right, then what is wrong, or visa versa.  Also, we see what a fool does compared to what the wise does, and what different “paths” they are going and what they will “earn”, for example.  These are ethics and sanctions.
